Our 3 show stars

Show season 2000

At most shows during 2000 I exhibited two kittens, Siblu Sergei Diaghilev and his sister Siblu Tatiana Linnik, as well as two adult cats Siblu Rudolph Nureyev and mother of all three, Siblu Lilia Lopokova.  One of my other female adults, Siblu Alisa Sokolova, was shown on only a few occasions earlier in the year.

Between them they collected 57 Best In Show Awards, 28 Best G3 Cat/Kitten Awards, 13 Best in Group Awards, and 8 Supreme Exhibit Awards.

All five have placed in the 2000 Cat of the Year Top 5 placings.

Rudi finished the year with the title of Gold Double Grand Champion, CCCA Grand Champion and ACT Grand Champion, and placed 2nd Best G3 Male Cat of the Year.  He has never been beaten for the challenge award.

Lilia finished the year with the title of Gold Double Grand Champion, CCCA Double Grand Champion and ACT Double Grand Champion, and placed 2nd Best G3 Female Cat of the Year.  Her biggest win of the Year was Supreme G3 Exhibit in Both Rings at Sydney Royal Easter Show, and Supreme All Breeds Exhibit in Ring 1 at that show.

Ser won 20 Best in Shows as a kitten, and achieved Supreme  All Breeds Exhibit on four occasions and Supreme All Breeds Kitten once.  He placed 2nd Best G3 Male Kitten of the Year.

Tatti won a number of Best in Show awards and other top 5 placing's which will see her take out 4th Best G3 Female Kitten of the Year.

Alis went to only a few shows at the beginning of the year, and accrued enough points to become a Double Grand Champion and she has placed 5th Best G3 Female Cat of the Year.

Za, owned by Tony Hurry & Bev McClelland won too many Best In Shows to remember, and has won Best G3 Male Kitten of the Year, and has also placed 2nd Best G3 Neuter Cat of the Year.   A magnificent achievement.

In 1998 Siblu Lilia Lopokova won Best Female Kitten of the Year.  In 1999 she again featured prominently by taking out Best Female Cat of the Year. Her son Siblu Rudolph Nureyev won Best Male Kitten of the Year and 3rd Best Male Cat of the Year.

In 2000 Rudi's son (and grandson of Lilia) Siblu Za Rudakov has continued this winning streak by taking out Best Male Kitten of the Year.  "Za" was given a run for his money by Siblu Sergei Diaghilev (another son of Lilia's) who placed 2nd Best Male Kitten of the Year, only 10 points behind Za.

Russian blues bred by Siblu Cattery had fantastic wins during 2000, racking up 8 Supreme All Breeds Exhibits in Show.  I don't believe any other Group 3 Breed (other shorthairs) featured as highly as the russians.  This certainly tells me as a breeder that I must be doing something right!!
