Show Results for 2002

During the 2002 Show Year I exhibited Siblu Sergei Diaghilev, a male cat and Ser's son Siblu Nizhny Novgorod – a male kitten.  I also took Ser's mother, Siblu Lilia Lopokova, to a handful of shows.  Both Ser and Nizhny have placed in the 2002 Cat of the Year Top 5 placings.

Siblu Sergei Diaghilev completed his second show year as an adult and has won Group 3 Male Cat of the Year.

During 2002 he won 45 Best in Show Awards, 33 Best Group 3 Cat Awards, 17 Best Group 3 Exhibit Awards, 2 Reserve to Supreme in Show Awards and 4 Supreme All Breeds Exhibit in Show Awards.  His wins of note were Supreme Group 3 Cat at Sydney Royal for the second year running, Supreme Group 3 Exhibit at Western Districts Cat Club Show for the third year running and Supreme All Breeds Exhibit at  St George District Cat Club Show, Newcastle & Hunter Valley Cat Club Show, Royal Bathurst  Show and Riverina Cat Club Show.  I am forever indebted to Joyce Pix of Odessa Cattery in Adelaide for allowing Lilia to be mated with her stud Odessa Igor Korsakov, Ser's father.

Siblu Nizhny Novgorod won 14 Best in Shows and numerous other Top 5 placings as a kitten.     Nizhny's biggest win of the year was Supreme Group 3 Kitten Ring 2 at the ACF National Show in Adelaide - there were 109 kittens entered at this show.  His many wins see him with the 2002 Award Group 3 Male Kitten of the Year.  I am especially pleased with how well Nizh has done on the show bench as his mother is my english import Shoelina Thieving Magpie, bred by Jennifer Fleming of Shoelina Cattery.

Siblu Lilia Lopokova (DM) was not a regular on the show bench during 2002 due to mothering duties at the beginning and end of the year.  Despite this she managed to increase her collection of CCCA Award wins to 71 (best titled female cat in show) which now sees her with the CCCA Title of Emerald Triple Grand Champion.  Lilia's biggest achievement for 2002 was being granted the Distinguished Merit Award which is awarded to female cats who have produced five titled offspring.

Lilia's titled offspring to date are:

UK Champion Siblu Nijinsky (owned by Jennifer Fleming),
Sth Australian Champion Siblu Ilya Shostakovich (owned by Joyce Pix), Double Grand Champion Siblu Alisa Sokolova
CCCA Grand Champion Gold Double Grand Champion ACT Triple Grand Champion Siblu Rudolph Nureyev
CCCA Emerald Triple Champion Gold Double Grand Champion ACT Gold  Triple Grand Champion Siblu Sergei Diaghilev

Siblu Alexsandr Popov, a desexed kitten owned by Brad & Di Stokes went to only four shows and won 4 Best in Show Awards.  He promises to wow on the show bench in 2003 as a neuter adult .

Russian blues bred by Siblu Cattery again had fantastic wins in 2002 and it was fabulous to see  my two boys take out the BEST Awards - Nizh for Male Kitten and father Ser for Male Cat.

It is now the fourth year in a row that a Siblu Russian Blue has won the title of Group 3 Male Kitten of the Year!!
